“Quote from Dr. Samy/Dr. Murugappan….” (example of a quote) “We wanted to write about our story. In 2018, our lives changed. My husband, a very busy and dedicated surgeon in the community, was in the hospital seeing a patient – as he always did during his days of being a busy surgeon,” said Dr. Prema Samy, wife to Dr. Murugappan. “The staff noticed he was not acting like himself and immediately realized he was having a stroke. From this moment on, our lives were never the same.”
“Frontiers is our story of perseverance and resiliency,” said Dr. Murugappan. “We are both surgeons in our community and the stroke not only devastated our family but it devastated our practice. Our story is a testament to who we are as a family but our commitment to serve in the medical field, to care for our patients.”
“Frontiers: The Journey of Two Surgeons through Stroke” is not just a book; it is a beacon of hope for stroke survivors and their families. Drs. Murugappan and Samy skillfully weaves their story with compassion, providing readers with a roadmap to recovery and a renewed sense of purpose.
